Our Story

CancerCom was founded as a result of a real-life experience

Play Video
CancerCom started as an initiative aiming to not let anyone go through the hardship of cancer alone. It was launched in September 2020, one year after Sara and her brothers lost their mom to breast cancer.
“Cancer is not the end. It is the beginning of a different journey, and we’re here to support you through every step of the way as youth, with nothing but our time, knowledge, network, and effort.”

– CancerCom Team, April 2021

Hear from our volunteers

Christina El Hajj-Chehade

As a volunteer in CancerCom, I’ve been deeply involved in the cancer community,
working with the team to make a meaningful impact. The team’s work ethic and
unwavering commitment taught me how collective efforts bring forth positive change. I firmly believe that our work touches the lives of individuals even beyond this disease.
Seeing what we have achieved so far, I truly believe that together, we can make a lasting difference in the cancer community.

Mounir Fakhoury

Working with CancerCom has been incredibly fulfilling for me, a final year medical student. Beyond hospitals, I found a platform to extend patient care, providing cancer medications, psychological support for families and patients, and nutritional consultations. Cancercom’s focus on mental health services, especially as I aspire to become a psychiatrist, has been deeply rewarding. Grateful for this opportunity to make a positive impact!

Zahraa Fahs

I am honored to be a member of the CancerCom team.
Hearing that the support we offered whether to patients or to their families, through any
content I contributed to, had a significant and positive effect on their lives is truly
empowering and heartwarming.Being involved with CancerCom has strengthened my commitment to creating a positive impact in the lives of others! ‎ ‎ ‎‎‎
