A smile of sunshine, Nour

Nour is a 23 yr old PharmD student at LAU. She was
doing her electives in Huston when her symptoms of a
consistent cough turned into having a hard time
breathing. This was when doctors diagnosed her with
non-hodgkin lymphoma. She took two rounds of chemo
abroad and now she is continuing her treatment here in
Lebanon.

The disease didn’t stop her education nor fiddled with
her optimism. In fact, she spoke about her diagnosis as
merely a small obstacle, which came along the way, and
she is determined to overcome it and “just continue
[her] normal life”. And in my short visit, I witnessed how
she did. She was very educated about the processes
and handled every step for what it really is while
focusing on her studies. Now, she is finishing her last
semester
